Brownwood News – The Texas Juvenile Justice Department reports that the first case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex in Brownwood.

According to TJJD, a Mental Health Specialist at Ron Jackson tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday night, marking the first case of the virus at Ron Jackson.

Since the start of the pandemic, 23 staff members at the agency’s facilities in the state have tested positive for Covid-19. Facilities are located in Edinburg, Gainesville, Willis, Giddings and Brownwood.
