Wright001Carl F. Wright, age 78, of Brownwood died Saturday afternoon at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Hall officiating and Rev. Jeff Thompson assisting.  Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery with visitation held from 6:30 – 8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.

Carl was born July 3, 1935 the son of the late Homer Franklin and Cora Griffin Wright.  At an early age the family moved from the Rising Star and Cottonwood area to the May area where he attended and graduated from school. He later attended Cisco Junior College.  He married Evelyn Joyce Treadaway Kite in Brownwood on December 23, 1976.  He was a member of the Haven of Hope Church and was known for his work as a tile setting contractor which he did for many years.

Carl will be remembered as a man of great character and a friendly personality.  He will be greatly missed by many who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wright of Brownwood

4 Daughters – Pam Hamlett of Dallas,  Tonya Killion and husband Wesley of Franklin, Tennessee,  Vicky Wright of Houston,  Joey Broussard and husband Lance of Early

5 Sons – Randy Wright and wife Beth of Brownwood,  Steve Wright and wife Juanita of Brownwood,  James Wright of Austin,  Carlton Wright of Gun Barrel City  and Tommy Wright and wife Drusilla of Abilene

A daughter in law – Robin Kite of Sweetwater

2 Brothers – Dale Wright and wife Darlena  and Benny Wright and wife Becky both of Abilene

2 Sisters – Sybil Walters of Conroe and LaVerne Jennings of Abilene

20 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren also survive

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, At All Kite.
