The Howard Payne Lady Jackets Volleyball team faced McMurry University Tuesday night on the road.

It was a close matchup, but Howard Payne ended up losing 2 games to 3.  The Lady Jackets lost the first two sets with scores of 21-25 and 19-25 but came back in the third and fourth scoring 25-23 and 25-23 forcing a 5th game.

After a tough fight, the Lady Jackets were defeated with a final score of 10-15.

This brings Howard Payne to a 7 – 11 record for the season and a 5 – 5 record in conference play.

The Lady Jackets travel to Seguin to play Texas Lutheran University next Tuesday at 6pm.  They then enter another ASC Crossover event on the weekend of Oct 16th and 17th in Abilene playing three teams Mississippi College, East Texas Baptist University, and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
