marineauxillarymainThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for its new member the Pecan Valley Marine Corps League Auxiliary to celebrate their new local chapter.

The organization was chartered by congress to help support the Marine Corps League along with active and former Marines.   Their focus is primarily on the families of Marines when they are deployed to help in any way they can. Their primary goal is to find current and former Marines and offer their support.

The organization also has a Marine Corp Ball coming up on November 10th for Marine Corp members and their families.  It will be held from 6pm-12am at the Brownwood Country Club and will offer Dinner, Dancing & Special Entertainment. Tickets are $30.00 in advance or $35.00 at the door.  For more information or tickets call Carrie Rodman 325-232-0551.

They are also going to offer a brisket sale fund raiser lunch on November 13th from 11:00am – 2:00pm set up at the corner of Austin and Coggin Ave.  Brisket plates with potato salad or cole slaw, pickles, bread & sauce.  Drinks available.
