Mrs. Dorthy Shreves, age 85, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Brownwood, Texas.

She was born in Childress, Texas, to Fred and Fannie Tyre. She was one of 10 siblings making up the Tyre clan. She was married to Larry Shreves in August of 1958 in Dallas, Texas. They both were long time employees of Proctor and Gamble. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Early Texas.

Survivors include her son, Shawn and his wife Valarie of Early; three grandsons to carry the family name, Joshua, Noah and Thomas, Larry’s daughter; her life-long friend, Lenora; her three living children, Debbie, DeLynn, and Chuck; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lavern Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, eight siblings, and one grandchild.

Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.
