The Howard Payne Lady Jackets volleyball team competed in the American Southwest Conference crossover event this weekend in Tyler with mixed results.

HPU won their first two matchups but take a loss in the third.

The Lady Jackets played University of Texas at Tyler on Friday winning in three games with scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-20.

They also took the win against LeTourneau University in an early game on Saturday with scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-11.

 

HPU struggled however against University of Texas at Dallas taking a loss on the matchup in three games with scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-15. UT Dallas is undefeated in conference play.

This weekend’s games bring the HPU Lady Jackets to a 7 – 10 overall record and 5 – 4 in ASC play.

The Lady Jackets travel to Abilene on Tuesday, Oct 6th to play McMurry University at 7pm.

HPU will compete in another cross division event on Oct 16th & 17th in Abilene.
