The HPU football team defeated Texas Lutheran University on Saturday as they improve their record for the season to 3-1.

The Jackets took advantage of several mistakes by TLU taking the ball away from them three times on turnovers.

With the final score of 45-23, the game was essentially played in the first half with HPU adding a field goal to the scoreboard in the third quarter for the only points scored by either team in the second half.

The Jackets are now 1 – 1 in conference play & are set to play McMurry University next Saturday in Brownwood at Gordon Wood Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 2pm.
