The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday for Avalon Custom Homes.

Local builder Codie Smith owns and operates Avalon Custom Homes and has been operating in the area for about two years.  Smith said at the ribbon cutting that he looks forward to working for those in the community.

The event was held at a custom home that Smith and his company built for Brownwood residents Jimmy and Ann Jones.  The Jones are offering the home located at 2701 Grey Fox Trail for sale.
