DucksUnlimitedThe annual Ducks Unlimited banquet is set for next week with lots of fun and prizes.

They will be offering a great evening of fun and excitement with friends and family to attend the Brownwood Ducks Unlimited Chapter Dinner. This years banquet features several prizes and raffles, and the Dinner Gun that Ducks Unlimited is offering is a Beretta White Onyx 28 gauge.

Things kick off on October Saturday, October 10, 2009  6:30 pm at the Brownwood Coliseum.  Contact Juli Mitchell at (325)200-1500 or jwhite@ducks.org for ticket information.

Ducks Unlimited is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization. Its members are
conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts who live throughout the United States,
Canada and Mexico.

For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, DU volunteers hosted more than
4,500 grassroots fund-raising events such as member and sponsor banquets,
shooting and fishing tournaments and golf outings. Event dollars represent some
of DU’s most important sources of revenue. Since event dollars are typically
unrestricted, DU is able to spend these funds in our highest priority areas and use
them to leverage additional funds from other sources. Recently, DU leveraged an
average of six additional dollars for every net unrestricted dollar raised.
