Brownwood Police Blotter – Numerous Thefts Being Investigated

Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department answered the following calls in recent days and submitted to media on Friday, August 2.

On 7/18/2019 at 1700 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Blk. of Simmons St. in reference to an assault. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at approximately 1015 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 200 block of East Baker, regarding a child locked inside a vehicle. Upon arrival the vehicle was unlocked and a report was completed.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 1144 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 1700 block of 7th Street in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival, the Officer met with the complainant who advised that someone has been coming into his yard and stealing his tools. The complainant advised that he did wish to file charges. A report was generated and completed.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence in the 700 block of Coggin Avenue for a credit card abuse report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 1617 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 2500 block of Belmeade in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival, the Officer met with the complainant who advised that someone had stolen his bicycle during the night.  The Officer asked the complainant if he wished to file a report and he stated yes. A report was generated and completed.

On Thursday, August 1, 2019 at approximately 1508 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding a theft that had occurred. Upon arrival an investigation and a report were completed.

On Thursday, August 1, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin for a fraud report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On Thursday August 1, 2019, at approximately 2010 hours, Brownwood Police Officers arrested a male subject for Driving While License Invalid with previous convictions. The arrest was on West Austin at Victoria.  A report was generated for this incident.

On 8/1/2019 at 2100 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 2200 Blk of Southside Dr. in reference to theft. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On 8/1/2019 at 2200 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 2800 Blk of Ave. C in reference to disorderly conduct. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
