Bobby Jowers

Funeral services for Bobby Jowers, age 71, of Bangs, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Bangs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mr. Jowers died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in a San Antonio hospital.

Bobby Ray Jowers was born on June 20, 1945 in Georgetown, Texas to Enveard Ray and Gladys (Perdue) Jowers.  Bobby married Jean Brinson on May 22, 1964 in Brownwood.  Bobby worked for a number of years as a butcher for Safeway and Kroger grocery stores.  He later opened B & R Deer Processing in Early.  Bobby enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Jowers of Bangs; a son Robby Jowers of Bangs, a daughter, Laura Dibrell of San Antonio, six grandchildren, Jeffrey Jowers, Andrew Jowers, Tanner Dibrell, Danielle Dibrell, Scott Dibrell and Kyler Dibrell; four brothers, Kenneth, Jackie, Clayton, and Randy Jowers; six sisters, Barbara Harwood, Brenda Cushenbury, Darla Reno, Donna Norton, Dianna Tarpley, and Dayna Jowers.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, a son Eddie Jowers, a sister, Linda Edwards, and a brother, David Jowers.
