
Wednesday afternoon, TexasBank – through the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation – awarded $1,000 scholarships to 16 local high school seniors who are bound for college in the fall, along with five current TSTC Brownwood students.
Brown County Market President Tim Espinoza, Bangs Branch Manager Mattie Byler and Vice President and Retail Market Manager Janna Brown were on hand at the 400 Fisk Avenue location in downtown Brownwood to make the presentations.
Espinosa stated that the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation has awarded $2.7 million dollars since 2013 to students.
Along with the scholarships, those students who have checking accounts with TexasBank will have $200 added. Those who open checking accounts with TexasBank will receive $200 in the account when opened.

- Early’s Ellie Glasscock, Isaiah Salazar, and Emma Blanton
- Bangs’ Ben Perez and Valerie Razo

- Blanket’s Dallas Moreno
- Zephyr’s Aaron Fagan
- Brookesmith’s Aidyn Barnett
- Goldthwaite’s Jacqueline Montoya and Aniston Porter
