Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees recently honored students and a staff member with certificates of excellence for their achievements during a meeting of the BISD board.
Those honored included the following:
BHS Lady Lions Softball Team: The team was recognized for their State qualification. Team members include Raeann Gongora, Kristen Fuentes, Tori Burkett, Ashley Gomez, Jakobee Holloway, Chyanne Ellett, Ayanna Clemons, Cameron Dyer, Victoria Sanchez, and Kayla McFarden.

Coggin Elementary Principal, Todd Lewis and Coggin Elementary Teachers, Lisa Christiansen and Holly Fell – Recognized for above and beyond service to Coggin Elementary students, staff, and teachers. Dr. Young referenced a letter of gratitude written by Luiza Grajales, parent of Jannai Grajales, a student at Coggin Elementary.

BHS One-Act Play: The cast and crew were recognized for their state qualifying One-Act Play, “39 Steps” as well as two individuals who won state awards for their performances. Mitchel Doud and Kamrey Windham both earned State Honorable Mention All Star Cast awards.
