WeaverLoisLois Elizabeth “Aunt Lew” Weaver, 75, from Brownwood, Texas went to be with her Savior, Friday, June 17, 2016, following a brief illness. Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at Zephyr Cemetery, Sunday, June 26, at 10 am.

She, like many from her generation, saw many changes, and knew many struggles in this world. She was born in Rockhill, South Carolina, January 26, 1941, and traveled with her beloved sister, Lola, when they embarked on a journey across the country seeking various migrant jobs to support themselves. Fate separated them at an early age, during which time Lois worked many years for Gonzales Packing Company, in Gonzales, California. In 1992, she was reunited with her siblings, and in 2006 she relocated to Brownwood to be closer to her sister.

She is survived by a sister, Edna Byrd, and her husband, Gene of Morrisville, North Carolina. Her baby brother, John Weaver, and his wife, Lila of Rockhill, South Carolina, brother-in-law, Ed Richardson of Brownwood, nieces, Jenny Horn, and husband Robert of Maricopa, Arizona; Debra Simpson, of Brownwood; Shirley Stovall, and husband, Gary, of Early; Revah Shifflett, and husband, Terry, of Brownwood, many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Her earthly presence will be dearly missed, but we know she was greeted in heaven by: her parents; John and Edna Weaver; brothers; Arthur and Melvin Weaver; and her beloved sister, Lola.

In lieu of flowers, she requested donations in her name be made to the humane society, or other charity of choice.
Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net.
