GrayGlenFuneral services will be held Sunday, December 6th at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas with Ruben Packer and Terry Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Glen was born November 3, 1942 in Burkett, Texas to Lee and Annie Merle Gray.  He married the love of his life, Barbara Bounds, on December 27, 1958.  They had three beautiful children, daughters, Glenda Daniell of Schertz, TX and Judy Gray of Brownwood and son Donald  Gray of Port Lavaca, TX.

Glen was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and a true Christian.

At the age of 16, he was employed by Foremost in Abilene, TX, where he worked for three years.  He then moved to Brownwood and worked at the Brownwood Rock Crusher for the next nine years.  He began his career with 3M in 1970 and remained there for the next thirty years.  He retired in 2000 at the age of 58.  His true passion was working on cars.  He was an amazing mechanic.  He got such a pleasure finding and solving the problem with a family member’s or friend’s car.  Many hours were spent in “The Shop”.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Gray, father, Lee Gray, brother, Dean Gray, sister-in-law, Molly Gray, nephew, Johnny Gray and niece, Donna Gray.

Glen leaves behind daughter Glenda Daniell and husband Alan, daughter Judy Gray, son Donald Gray and wife Julie, mother Annie Merle Trent, brother Dan Gray and wife Claudia, sisters  LaVada Burkey and husband Carol, Ann Collins.

Glen was blessed to have many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Jordan, Amanda, Stephanie, Jessica, Marcus, Marissa and Ali; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Presley, Taylor, Alex, Natally, Ryley, Ryder, Braxton, Cayden, Kamaron, Kason, Jackson, Amoriouz, Karson, Konner, Ethan and Izzy.

Special thanks to Dr. Ward Locklear and his staff for the kind and loving care of our father and to the nurses, respiratory staff, ICU Staff and Infusion Unit at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  Also, thanks to the paramedics and Brownwood Fire Department.  Glen fought a long, hard battle with Myesthenia Gravis.  We appreciate all of the love and support from family, friends and Glen’s former co-workers.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
