BCSO_LogoAccording to information from Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, Investigator Carlyle Gover has been involved in the investigation of the distribution and use of methamphetamine at a local Brownwood residence.  Investigator Gover obtained a search and arrest warrant from Judge Frank Griffin, for a residence in the 700 block of Bond Street.

This morning at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Early Police Department Investigator Shawn Dibrell, Brownwood Police Department Detective Bruce Spruill, and Brown County Probation Officer Jay Curtis executed the warrant.  Upon making entry of the residence, the officers were confronted by a large dog.  Fortunately, the dog was not aggressive and officers safely secured the residence without any incident.

Located in the residence were seven individuals; Jimmy Wiley and Alesha Mallone were identified as the primary residents of the house.  According to the two suspects, both are currently under investigation by for being associated with illegal drugs and their kids are currently in foster care.  After checking the individuals for warrants, it was found that Dustin Lawson was wanted for a Motion to Revoke his probation for Burglary of a Building and Richard Andrews was wanted for a Parole Violation.

Officers began their search of the residence and located methamphetamine and items associated with the use and distribution of methamphetamine in several bedrooms of the residence.  Two of the individuals were determined to be homeless and staying at the residence until they could find a place to live.  There was no evidence of their connection with the illegal substances and they were released without being charged.  Jimmy Wiley and Alisha Malone were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance over 1 gram, but less than 4 grams in a Drug Free Zone.

Tammy Andrews, Richard Andrews, and Dustin Lawson were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver over 1 gram, but less than 4 grams in a Drug Free Zone.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the illegal use and distribution of illegal substances and we expect that more arrests will be forthcoming as a result of the continued investigation in this case.
