Ruby Grace Caldwell Johnson

Surrounded by her family Ruby Grace Caldwell Johnson of Early went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2010.  She was born to Sam Hardin Caldwell and Clara Flippo Caldwell at Beaty, Texas on November 22, 1936.  She was a Southern Baptist and a loving caring mother, grandmother and wife.  She was married to Marion Johnson on June 20, 1961 at Brownwood, Texas.

Ruby is survived by her husband of almost 49 years and two sons Kenneth Johnson of Bangs and his fiancé Janie of Abilene; William Johnson and wife Brenda of Brownwood; and the joy her life her granddaughter Grace Johnson of Brownwood.  She is also survived by four step grandchildren Jennifer, Ben, Lindsey and Garrett Woods all of Brownwood and one step great grandson Ethan Woods of Brownwood;  one sister Lois Moore of Brownwood, one brother Alvin Caldwell and wife Bess of Abilene, a brother-in-law Gordon Dixon of Euless.  She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers Gerald, George, R.C., Charlie, Bobby and Frank Caldwell and by four sisters Vera Adams, Lorraine Purcell, Thelma Dixon and Lucille Connally.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ruben Packer officiating.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 6:30 – 7:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral homes.
