5k10k_mainlogoRegistration for the 2015 Brownwood Feels Like Home Celebration 5K/10K run and 1.5 mile walk is now open.   The run is an annual tradition for the festival each year and attracts more than 400 runners from across the state.  This year’s run will take place the morning of Saturday, September 19th.

Registration cost is $25 in advance.  The first 300 runners to register will receive a shirt on race day featuring this year’s event logo.   Trophies will be given to the top runners and medals will be awarded to the top runners in each age category.   Running teams are encouraged.

Runners can register online at CelebrateBrownwood.com or pick up entry forms at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office located at 600 E. Depot Street in Brownwood.

The route runs through historic downtown Brownwood.  It begins and ends at the Lehnis Railroad Museum and takes runners past the Depot District, Center Park, the Lyric Theatre, Brown County Courthouse and the Guinness Book of World Record’s smallest block in the world.

The Feels Like Home 5k/10k run and 1.5 mile walk is sponsored by Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

The Brownwood Feels Like Home Celebration is a community-wide festival held September 18-20th in Brownwood, Texas featuring a variety of competitions, attractions, music, and food in addition to the main concert.  This year’s festival marks the 15th year of the event.   Concert headliners for this year’s celebration will feature Josh Turner and Uncle Kracker.

Go to CelebrateBrownwood.com for more details about the event or for more information, call 325-646-9535.
