Missing Man Identified as Search Continues

FloodVictimRedTruck_KTABDivers have joined the search for a missing 62-year-old Coleman veteran who was swept away during the flooding in Brown County on Wednesday.

Glen Nation, who is reported to be disabled, was traveling in his pick-up on County Road 105 at FM 2492 south of Lake Brownwood when his truck was swept off the roadway and into the Jim Ned Creek by flood waters.

It’s unclear what happened next, but authorities believe Nation exited the truck because the water was rising too fast.  The pick-up, pictured above, has been recovered, but no sign of Nation.

Search crews have been combing the area for days, but their attempts were hindered by flooding.

Now that the streets have started to dry, their efforts have been rekindled. This is the first time divers have been able to join the search since the man went missing.

A team of search dogs from Texas Department of Criminal Justice have also joined in the search along with their handlers and officers on horseback, according to BSCO officials.

Helicopters are also deployed again, and crews on vehicle and on foot are working hard to make sure this man, one way or another, comes home.
