DUBLIN – The Early Lady Horns chalked up 108 points, which left them in second place behind only champion Comanche (149), at the District 8-3A track and field meet earlier this week. Meanwhile, the Longhorns produced 42 points, good for sixth place, behind Peaster (179), Breckenridge (161), Eastland (90), Comanche (69) and Tolar (67).
A total of 16 entrants from Early – 12 on the girls side and four on the boys – will compete in the 7-3A/8-3A area meet at Jacksboro on Thursday as the top four qualifiers in each district event advance. The Lady Horns won three district championships while the Longhorns collected a pair.
