Bangs earns 23 berths to 7-2A/8-2A area track and field meet

ROSCOE – The Bangs Lady Dragons and Dragons teamed up to earn 23 berths to the area track and field meet in Sterling City next week based on their District 8-2A performances earlier this week.

As a team, the Lady Dragons placed third with 131 points while the Dragons finished fifth in the team standings with 83 points. The girls earned 15 area berths, while the boys notched eight.

Area qualifiers for the Lady Dragons and Dragons are listed below:

LADY DRAGONS

  • Kasey Solis in the 100 meters
  • Kasey Solis in the long jump
  • Kasey Solis in the triple jump
  • Abby Wolf in the 100 meters
  • Abby Wolf in the long jump
  • Cameryn Harmon in the 200 meters
  • Cameryn Harmon in the triple jump
  • Adalynne Stephens in the 3200 meters
  • Julia Scantling in the 100-meter hurdles
  • Savannah Day in the 400 meters
  • Gabriella Zapata in the high jump
  • Mattisyn Taylor in the discus
  • 4×100 relay of Valerie Razo, Kasey Solis, Cameryn Harmon and Abby Wolf
  • 4×200 relay of Julia Scantling, Valerie Razo, Kasey Solis and Abby Wolf
  • 4×400 relay of Savannah Day, Kylee Newton, Joey Newton and Adalynne Stephens

  • Noe Martinez in the 3200 meters
  • Connor Bible in the 100 meters
  • Cason Tidwell in the 300-meter hurdles
  • Braxton Wommack in the 200 meters

The 7-2A/8-2A area meet will be held Thursday at Sterling City. The top four finishers in each event at area will move on to regionals.
