Local organizations and schools will honor Veterans in many programs and tributes on Tuesday in honor of Veterans Day.

The American Legion Post 308 of Bangs will pay homage to the veterans buried in Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood and the Bangs Cemetery in Bangs on Tuesday evening.  The public is invited to join in honoring Veterans on this special date.

Short tribute ceremonies at each location will consist of an opening prayer and Military Taps played on a bugle by a member of the American Legion.  The ceremonies will take place at 5:00 p.m. at Greenleaf Cemetery and at 6:00 p.m. at the Bangs Cemetery.

Greenleaf Cemetery is located at 2615 South Hwy 377 in Brownwood.  Bangs Cemetery is located at south of Bangs, Texas just off of Highway 67/84, turn onto Fourth Street and then turn left onto Ray Barnes Drive.

Various Veterans Day programs and activities have been announced by Brownwood ISD schools to honor the brave men and women who have served in our military.
