Brownwood City Council Agenda – Regular Called Meeting 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014 Council Chambers, City Hall – 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas

The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

1. Call to Order

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Invocation

4. Items to be withdrawn

5. Introductions, Announcements, and Recognitions

6. Citizen Presentations – Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate op items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All : I presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Regular Called Meeting – October 28, 2014

9. Requests and Presentations

A. A presentation by BISD Students who are participating in a State Ag Issues Competition. Their topic will be the Willis Creek Channelization project.

B. Consider the purchase of one Ferrara Fire Truck with a 100′ mid mount platform from BuyBoard in the amount of $970,000 and authorize capital lease through our depository to fund the purchase.

C. Consider designating the buy-in funds from the Brown County Water Improvement District in the amount of $822,086.60 as special purpose funds and approve a budget for projects to be paid from these funds.

10. Consent Agenda.

A. Consider an Ordinance on second and third/final readings changing the zoning classification for 2700 Brady Avenue, being Lots 1 – 3, Block 11, of the Hillcrest Addition, from CN Neighborhood Commercial District to Local Business District.

B. Consider an Ordinance on second and third I final readings approving the FY2013/2014 budget amendments.

C. Consider cancelling the second regularly scheduled City Council meeting in December-December 23, 2014.

C. Fire Station

12.  Executive Session – The City Council will convene into closed Executive Session in the Haynes Conference Room pursuant to the provisions of the Open. Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Govt. Code, Vernon’s Texas Codes Annotated in accordance with the authority contained in the following sections:

-Section 551.071 – Consultation with Attorney

-Section 551.072 – Deliberation Regarding Real Property

A. Possible ratification of the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation action to purchase property on Booker Street. · ! 1

B. Discussion of Code Enforcement case regarding property located at 405 West Anderson

13. The City Council will reconvene into Regular Session in the City Council chambers to take any action deemed necessary as result of the Executive Session

14. Adjournment
