SaizA service of remembrance for Daniel A. Saiz, 62, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Will Clark officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday, at 1 PM, prior to the service.

Mr. Saiz passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home in Brownwood.

Daniel Saiz was born on April 1, 1952 in Menard Texas, a son of Joe Saiz and Mary (Aquirre) Saiz.  He proudly served his country for four years as Air Defense in the United States Army, and after moving back to Brownwood he went to work for Superior Essex. Daniel worked for Superior for 37 years before retiring to do more of the things that he loved, such as fishing, fishing, and more fishing… He also enjoyed playing tennis whenever he got the chance.

Those that knew Daniel, knew him as an amazing family man. He took care of his parents in their senior years and always gave of himself with love, compassion and a lending ear, not only to his own children, but for his nieces, nephews and other family members as well. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Edna Saiz of Brownwood; three children, Tammy Jean Saiz and Pattie Jo Saiz, both of Longview and his son Jarrod Wood, of Brownwood; three grandchildren Amanda Mary-Catherine Clark, William Nathanial “Nate” Clark, both of Desoto Texas and Jose De Jesus Tenorio III of Longview. He is also survived by two sisters, Maria Saiz and Jodie Cadena both of Brownwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joe Saiz; one sister Earline Ragsdale and his brother, Tony Charles.

Family and friends are invited and encouraged to sign the online guestbook at www.nethertonfuneralhome.com
