After a very long night of counting ballots, Brown County election officials have completed the count of all votes and the results for the 2010 primaries are in.  Election officials said that due to high voter turnout, several precincts ran out of ballots during election day prompting officials to provide additional ballots.  These ballots had to be counted by hand causing Brown County election results to be released shortly after 5am Wednesday morning.

Looking at these results, County Judge incumbent Ray West won the Republican nomination. West will face the Democratic County Judge nominee Ronnie Lappe in November.   County Treasurer Ann Krpoun also secured the Republican nomination in her race with a commanding lead.

The Justice of the Peace races were a bit closer with incumbent Bryan Thompson securing the Republican nomination for Precinct 3 and incumbent Bob Wall also winning the Precinct 2 nomination.

In statewide races, Governor Rick Perry took the Republican nomination and will face the Democratic Primary winner Bill White in the November general election.

US Representative Mike Conaway won the Republican nomination for the District 11 seat by a wide margin.
