“Raindrops to Rainbows-Stop Child Abuse” Poster Contest

postercontestThe Brownwood – Brown County Child Welfare Board has a big campaign in April to make everyone aware that if we prevent Child Abuse and Neglect, there will be far fewer children that have to be protected by CPS.

The first event of this campaign is the “Raindrops to Rainbows-Stop Child Abuse” Poster Contest.

First and Second Place prizes will be given in each age group: Each First Place Winner will receive $50.00 in Brownwood Bucks! Each Second Place Winner will receive $25.00 in Brownwood Bucks! Grand Prize Winner will receive an additional $100 in Brownwood Bucks! (Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the First Place winners.)

Posters will be displayed at Heartland Mall during the month of April.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners on stage at 2:00 p.m. at Heartland Mall, on Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Poster Contest Rules

  1. Only one entry per person.
  2. Standard poster board size (22”x28”) is required.
  3. 2010 Theme—”Raindrops To Rainbows—Stop Child Abuse” These words must be on the poster— anywhere and any size.
  4. Attach a 3×5 index card to the back of the poster with the following information: full name, parent’s name, phone number, date of birth, school grade, school name
  5. Posters must be turned in to the Heartland Mall Office by 5:00pm, March 31, 2010 and will not be returned.

Judging will be divided into five age groups:

  • 5-7 yrs.
  • 8-9 yrs.
  • 10-11 yrs.
  • 12-14 yrs.
  • 15-18 yrs.

The public is invited to the event Saturday, April 17th from 12:00pm-3:00pm at Heartland Mall.

The event includes Child Abuse Prevention Poster Contest Display, Free Children’s Activities, and More!

Sponsors of the contest include: Heart of Texas Internal Medicine Associates, Brownwood Brown County Child Welfare Board, Heartland Mall, KOXE, & Brownwood Bulletin.
