
ABILENE – The Brownwood Lady Lions finished fourth as a team and the Brownwood Lions came in sixth at the Diamondback Fall Preview golf tournament at Diamond National Golf Course in Abilene Monday and Tuesday.
The Lady Lions shot a 739 with rounds of 369 Monday and 371 Tuesday.
Leading the way was Tristyn Garcia with a 171 composite score after rounds of 88 Monday and 83 Tuesday, followed by River Jones with rounds of 96 and 93 for a 181, London England with an opening 96 and closing 93 for a 189, and Riley Morton with a 199 after starting with a 100 and finishing with a 99.
The Lions posted a 618 team score with a 305 Monday followed by a 313 Tuesday.
For the Lions, Hudson Reagan posted a 149 with a 73 Monday and 76 Tuesday, trailed by Sir Bubba Jones with a 150 after rounds of 73 and 77; Caleb Modawell with a 158 following consecutive rounds of 79; Peyton Sharp’s 161 with rounds of 80 and 81; and Cobe Walker’s 174 with a Monday 84 and a Tuesday 90.
Will Stewardson also competed as a medalist for the Lions and carded a 166 with rounds of 81 and 85.
