Reports released for the week of February 24 – March 2, 2014 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 23 medical, 2 fire calls, 3 motor vehicle accidents and one hazardous material call.

Monday, February 24

*11:20 AM – BFD was dispatched on a Haz-Mat call on West Hwy 67.  Hazardous materials leak control and containment was initiated.

Wednesday, February 26

*6:33 PM – Fire call in the 1000 block of San Benito.  BFD arrived on scene to report of strong smell of gas and a hissing sound inside the residence. Atmos was contacted to check the home.

Thursday, February 27

*8:26 AM – Fire call in the 1300 block of Ave I.  The fire department responded to smell of smoke. Thermal camera was used to investigate the residence but nothing was found.

Saturday, March 1

*2:56 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Vine St. involving a single motorcycle with no injuries

*8:08 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main St. involving 2 vehicles with no injuries.

Sunday, March 2

*6:03 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at Melwood / Baker involving single vehicle striking a guardrail with no injuries
