ChancellorRichardRichard Jay Chancellor, age 51, of Ft. Stockton passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at his residence.

Memorial Services for Richard will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Ernest Kirk officiating, a private interment will be held at a later date. No visitation will be held.

Richard was born on October 22, 1962 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Norman Chancellor and Wanda (Taber) Chancellor-Fletcher. He was an Eagle Scout. He attended college at TSTI in Waco. Richard worked for Texas Juvenile Ron Jackson Center for 22 years. He loved to collect old coins and to BBQ. He also enjoyed surprising his children with out of town trips.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Chancellor; daughter, Darian Chancellor; mother, Wanda Fletcher and husband S.A.; brother, Jimmy Chancellor and wife Lori; nieces and nephews, Nickole Justus, Jaron Wright, Kylah Chancellor, and Tiffany Thomson. He is also survived by his best friend, Wayne Thomas of Ft. Stockton.

Richard was preceded by his father, Norman Chancellor; and sister, Vicky Bishop.
