The Brown County Sheriff’s Office posted the following on its Facebook page Monday:

In the early hours of Saturday morning, December 3, 2022, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was assisting DPS with a commercial motor vehicle rollover on Hwy 67/84, near Bangs Hill. This was when a vehicle struck one of the deputy’s patrol units.

There were no injuries from this accident, but there was a near miss of striking one of our deputies, who was directing traffic. We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone the dangers of texting while driving and how driving while under the influence affects your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
