Fred Allen and Barbara Montgomery Smith, graduates of the Brownwood High School Class of 1960 presented a $2,600 check to the Brown County Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund. Receiving the donation was Mary Alice Reagan, President of the Brown County Retired Teachers Association (now to be Brown County Retired School Employees).  This donation will be a tremendous asset to enable us to help support local future educators.  It is an honor to receive these funds made possible by the alumni of BHS 1960. Many still live in the area and provide encouragement to schools and teachers, both retired and current.  This will leave a special legacy. Many thanks to the donors.
