Last week, the Dubon Family Foundation donated $10,000 to Brown County to be used by first responders.  In session Monday morning, Brown County Commissioners received recommendation from Darrell Johnston, Brown County Emergency Management, that the money be divided between 9 county volunteer fire departments, meaning each will receive $1,111.

The Dubon Foundation also plans to donate $10,000 to the local American Legion Post, $10,000 to the City of Brownwood and $10,000 to the City of Early.

The donation was made by Jennifer and Porfirio Dubon of the Dubon Family Foundation, shown above with Brown County Commissioners Court on Monday, October 18.

The Dubons, both 20-year Air Force veterans, own the Stagecoache event and entertainment center in Early.
