Ben Tom Prewitt, age 88, of Brownwood passed away Friday, September 10, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 18, in the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home of Brownwood.

He was born September 29, 1932 in Memphis, Texas the son of Joe Bob Prewitt and Betty Jewell McCulloch Prewitt and had lived in Brownwood most of his life. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces and later worked for several local businesses including West Texas Printing.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Prewitt of Brownwood and Elizabeth Preuss and a son, Martin Longbow. Several grandchildren including Tessa Welch and Jeffrey Langston and great-grandchildren Kaytlin, Mackenzie, and Addison Welch and Elaina Langston.

He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Prewitt and a brother, Bill Prewitt.
