Regina Rechelle Mason, age 57, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday May 1, 2021. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 8, 2021 at 1:00pm at Church of the Living God. Viewing will be held Friday from 11:00am to 6:00pm at Brownwood Funeral Home.

Regina was born on July 24, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents, Sylvester Mason Sr. and Bobbie Jean Madlock. She was the middle child of their union. She grew up in a home where they believed in God.

Regina attended McClain High School in Tulsa, OK and graduated in May 1982. Regina gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, who she named Princeton Gisel Mason in August 1987. She was the proud grandmother of two grandsons, whom she loved, Jayden Wyatts and Princeton Mason Jr.

Regina Mason gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She rededicated her life to the Lord whole heartily when moving back to Coleman, TX. She remained a faithful and mighty prayer warrior through the years. Regina started a prayer circle within her family every Wednesday, they would pray for family and for souls every Thursday. She later attended New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs, TX. She enjoyed reading scriptures, but her favorite was Psalms 91.

Regina always had a passion for the youth. She worked in many positions with the youth ministry and was a huge influence in their lives. She worked as a Teacher’s aide at Coleman High School and later worked at Ron Jackson Juvenile Facility. She worked as a Correctional Officer for ten years. She later advanced in her position as Supervisor of the girls’ halfway house. She recently accepted a position at Bridge of Hope, where she would continue her work with youth. Regina, not only had a heart for the youth but she had a servant’s spirit and enjoyed serving others. She had a gift for arts and crafts and boy was she good at it. It gave her peace and enjoyment to create her crafts for family and friends.

Beloved family members preceding her in death are 2 sisters; Bridgette Madlock and Barbara Divens, and her grandmother Orla Bailey.

Regina leaves behind in God’s hands her father; Sylvester Mason Sr. of Tulsa, OK, mother; Bobbie Madlock (Lincoln) of Santa Anna TX, 1 son; Princeton Mason (Serena Flores) of Wimberley, TX. 2 grandsons; Jayden Wyatts of Edmond, OK and Princeton Mason Jr. of Wimberley, TX. 7 brothers; Amos Mason of Dallas, TX, Sylvester Mason Jr. of Brownwood, TX, Clayton Mason Sr. and Dwayne Mason Sr. of Tulsa, OK, Terry Mason of Coleman, TX, Tony Madlock of Brownwood, TX, Rongey Madlock of Bangs, TX. 4 sisters; Debra Webb and Melisha Mason both of Santa Anna, TX, Sonda Madlock and Martha Peevy both of Tulsa, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
