LUBBOCK – The Brownwood Lions golf team finished sixth overall at the two-day, 36-hole Region I-4A preview tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course, which concluded Saturday.

The Lions finished with a 648 composite score off rounds of 322 Friday and 326 Saturday.

John Monson posted a 159 total with an opening 76 and a closing 83 to pace the Lions followed by Ian Harris with a 161 after rounds of 80 and 81, Hudson Reagan with a 166 after an 86 and an 80, Slayde Espinoza with a 166 after an 84 and an 82, and Sir Jones with 169 following rounds of 82 and 87.

The Lions will be back in action March 16 at Gatesville.
