On Monday, December 28, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 87 positive COVID-19 test results, 72 negative, and 68 recoveries. These results are from December 24th-28th. Of the 87 positives, 21 were PCR, and 66 were antigen. There are currently 16 hospitalized in Brown County and 471 cases.  Seven deaths have been reported: a male in his 80’s not from a nursing facility, a female in her 80’s from a nursing facility, a male in his 90’s from a nursing facility, a male in his 80’s not from a nursing facility, two females in their 90’s from nursing facilities, and a male in his 70’s from a nursing facility.   Since the pandemic began, there have been 68 COVID related deaths in Brown County.
