Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney, Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis, presiding.

Jerry Peel, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 40 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Joseph Steven West, pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault Against Public Servant and was sentenced 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, West pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jennifer Loraine Crader, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver was adjudicated and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Morris Lee Abernathy, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jonathan Travis Clifton, on probation for the felony offense of Obstruction or Retaliation was revoked and sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Printis Dominguez, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Liza Maria Nichols, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity was adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Richard Nicholls, pled guilty to the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Occlusion and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Chase Tyler Worsham, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone was revoked and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Tricia Renee Bales, pled guilty to the felony offense of Credit Card Abuse and was sentenced to 16 month, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Bales, on probation for the felony offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child, was adjudicated and sentenced to 16 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Mauricio Garza, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

James Clement Dunn, on probation for the felony offense of Delivery of a Dangerous Drug was adjudicated and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Michael Aaron McFarland, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Building was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

James Adam Beam, pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Beam, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Wayman Middlebrooks, pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
