BFD Fire & Rescue Reports 7/2

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of June 24-June 30, 2012 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 24 medical emergencies, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 2 fire calls, 1 lock-in and 1 hazardous materials call.

Reports of interest include:

Sunday June 24

*1:18am- BFD responded to a fire call on Austin and Melwood. Crews arrived on scene to find a clothing fire, which was then extinguished.

*1:21pm- BFD was dispatched to the 6000 block of CR 234 where a smoldering tree was reported. Crews arrived and soaked the tree, nothing was left smoldering.

Wednesday June 27

*2:53pm- BFD was called to W. Anderson and Victoria Street to the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a car and bicycle. Crews checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Thursday June 28

*3:48pm- BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 1500 block of Main Street involving two vehicles. Crews checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Friday June 29

*9:29pm- BFD responded a lock in call of a female stuck in an elevator. Crews were able to remove the female from the elevator.

Saturday June 30

*10:14am- BFD was called to a lift assist.

*4:26pm- BFD was called to a report of a gas leak on Bowie Circle/Stewart Street. Crews investigated, but nothing was found.
