EARLY – Central Texas Farm Credit (CTFC) is proud to announce the return of $8 million in patronage refunds to its member-borrowers, representing approximately 77 percent of the association’s 2025 net income. This significant return reflects CTFC’s cooperative structure, financial strength, and long-standing commitment to the farmers, ranchers, and rural communities it serves.

As a member-owned cooperative, Central Texas Farm Credit operates with the purpose of serving agriculture and rural communities in our territory. When the association performs well financially, those earnings are returned directly to its members through patronage refunds.

Farm Credit was established more than a century ago to ensure that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities have reliable access to credit and financial services, especially during times when traditional lending sources may not meet the unique needs of agriculture. That mission remains at the core of Central Texas Farm Credit’s operations today. By returning earnings to its members, the association reinvests directly into the local communities where those funds were generated, allowing producers to strengthen their operations and continue supporting the rural economy.

“Patronage is one of the most meaningful benefits of being part of the Farm Credit System,” said Zach May, CEO, Central Texas Farm Credit. “Returning capital to our members is a direct reflection of our mission and our commitment to support agriculture, rural families, and the communities that depend on them.”

Central Texas Farm Credit’s board of directors is made up of five stockholder-elected directors and two outside directors (director-elected). Our directors, who all live and work in our territory, are listed below.

  • Robby Halfmann (Chairman) – Stockholder-elected Director
  • Philip Hinds (Vice Chairman) – Stockholder-elected Director
  • Steven Lehrmann – Stockholder-elected Director
  • Frank Volleman – Stockholder-elected Director
  • Holden Jacoby – Stockholder-elected Director
  • Burl Lowery – Outside Director
  • Gerald Rodgers – Outside Director

Their leadership and oversight help ensure that the association remains focused on serving members’ needs while maintaining long-term financial stability.

Central Texas Farm Credit serves 20 counties across Central and West Texas, providing financing and financial services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, and rural property owners. Through its patronage program and community-focused initiatives, CTFC continues to fulfill its mission of supporting agriculture and rural life.
