Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: April 14

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • On Friday, April 10, 2026, at 0805 hours, I, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell, took a phone call from Jodi Lynn Hancock for an animal complaint. She believed her dog was attacked by several dogs, who belong to ALAN TODD BOSWELL, JUNIOR. BOSWELL was issued a Dog Prohibited From Running at Large Form. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
  • On 04/10/2026, at approximately 1338 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding Fraud. Deputy Reigle spoke with the victims, who stated they received phone calls from suspects claiming to be associated with Publishers Clearing House. The victims were coerced into providing the suspects with $500 from an Amazon Gift Card. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
  • On Friday, 04/10/2026, at about 1548 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a trespassing call located at Lakeshore Dr., May, TX. April Nicole McKenzie said RONALD GENE WOOD took a Texas-shaped wooden sign off her front porch. A Criminal Trespass Waring was issued to WOOD per McKenzie’s request. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On 4/11/26, at approximately 1945 hours, I, Deputy Hopson, responded to W Commerce for an Assault report. It was learned an Assault occurred at the Lake Brownwood State Park between a known female and male. The incident was documented for the State Park Police.
  • On 04/13/26, at approximately 0743 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to E Spencer St, Bangs, Tx 76823 regarding a Burglary. Deputy Fox spoke with Rex Pennington, who stated someone broke in through the window and stole approximately $3,200 worth of tools. Deputy Fox conducted an investigation, and a report was made.
  • On 04/13/2026, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a walk-in at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office regarding an Assault. Deputy Geis spoke to a Lally Spinks, who claimed her husband, SPINKS, LEE CODY, had assaulted her on 04/05/2026. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
