Zephyr Bulldogs 80, Priddy 13

ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Bulldogs completed an undefeated run to the District 25-A championship with an 80-13 home victory over the Priddy Pirates Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs raced out to a 30-2 lead after one quarter, which grew to 45-4 at halftime and stood at 59-7 through three frames.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Troy Kubin with 28 points, C.J. Byers with 14, Ethan Prochaska with 10, Reese Hamm and Chayden Woodcock with seven apiece, Bauer Blair with six, Cooper Walls and Spencer Marwitz each with three, and Quayde Heard with two points.

Zephyr (26-8, 12-0) will begin its postseason run at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 in Hico against Abbott.

May Tigers 69, Blanket Tigers 37

MAY – The No. 18 May Tigers capped their flawless District 21-A campaign with a 69-37 victory over the Blanket Tigers Tuesday night.

After one quarter, May owned a 23-5 advantage that increased to 40-20 by halftime and stood at 55-34 through three periods.

Scoring for May were Brody Stice with 25 points, Kobey Morris with 22, Kaden Watkins with seven, Jackson Lusk with six, and Kayden Psencik, Cayson Dail, and Mikey Scheriger with two points each.

Blanket received 14 points from Kannon Kensing, nine from Mason Beck, five from Karter Keel, four from Weston Chism, three from Brian Shannon, and two points from Kade Russell.

May (22-8, 12-0) will face Albany at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Baird in a playoff warm-up game, and battle Lingleville at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23 in Zephyr in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Blanket and Rising Star will clash in a playoff seeding game at 6 p.m. Thursday in De Leon.
