Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: June 27

The following information was issued by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • On 06/26/2025, at approximately 0831 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding Identity Theft by phone. Deputy Reigle spoke with the victim, who stated that Experian IdentityWorks had contacted her regarding her identifying information being compromised. The victim also stated she had observed several fraudulent transactions on three separate credit cards. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
  • On June 26, 2025, at approximately 08:28, Deputy Dean Anderson was dispatched to a call concerning a civil matter at County Road 411 W, May, TX 76857. Spoke with Dusty Lee Bradley. Bradley said he has been living at this address since October 2024, when Stella Jean Mason allowed him to move his trailer on the property she owns. Bradley said he has had two water hoses cut or damaged recently by the property owner. Mason’s boyfriend, Ronald Wayne Hines, also lives at this address. Criminal Mischief charges were filed, information was gathered, and report was submitted.
  • On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 09:44 hours, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to N 279, Lonspar Ranch, regarding animal cruelty. Dispatch advised Darrell Lance stated someone had shot a calf. Upon arrival, contact was made with Lance. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • On June 26, 2025, at approximately 10:45, Deputy Dean Anderson was dispatched to a call concerning a criminal mischief at Mr. W Fireworks Stand, Belle Plain St, Brownwood, TX 76801. I spoke with Kenneth Dale Whitley and Zachary Scott Burns. Whitley and Burns both said they arrived at Mr. W Fireworks Stand, at approximately 10:00, on June 26, 2025. Upon arriving at the fireworks stand, they observed the roll up door hasp and the door frame had minor damage from someone attempting to get into the fireworks stand. Criminal Mischief charges were filed, information was gathered, and report was submitted.
  • On 06/26/2025, at approximately 1357 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding theft. Upon speaking with the complainant, it was learned the disputed property arose from probate and estate of their deceased father. Probate processes are still ongoing, and the complainant was advised that the dispute constitutes a civil matter, until probate court proceedings are complete. The complainant was advised to follow up with Brown County Sheriff’s Office at that point in time. An information only report was completed.
  • On Thursday, 6/26/2025, at about 1931 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an animal bite, which occurred on 6/25/2025. Mackenzie Grace Baugh was bitten in the leg by a dog as she was running past a residence in the 3800 block of County Road 336. Information was collected and a report was made.
  • On June 27th, 2025, at 0510 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a theft at Hwy 279. Information was gathered on scene. A report was made.
  • On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 05:22 hours, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to 2601 Crockett DR, Hendricks Medical Center regarding an assault, which happened in the county. Dispatch advised the victim, Mariah Perez, was in Trauma room 11. Upon arrival, contact was made with Perez. Perez stated she had been assaulted by JUAN ROBLES. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • Wednesday, 06/25/2025, Sgt. Angel conducted a traffic stop on a red Kia Forte 4 door passenger car in the 200 block of West Commerce Street.  After further investigation, Sgt. Angel learned the vehicle was stolen out of Abilene, Texas. The driver, identified as DAVID AARON RIVAS, was placed under arrest for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.  RIVAS was also in possession of Methamphetamines.  RIVAS was transported and booked into the Brown County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (State Jail Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram (State Jail Felony).
  • On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 1909 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Francisco Valencia was dispatched to speak with a complainant, via a phone call, regarding an animal complaint. The complaint said a dog ran from its property and attacked her dog while they were on a walk. Information was gathered, the dog owner was issued a Dog Prohibited from Running at Large form, and a report was made.
