Dorothy Jean Driskill, age 96, of May, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 9 at May Methodist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00PM.

Dorothy was born on November 1, 1928 to Oscar Lee Killion and Mary Dona (Blair) Killion in Temple. In her early years, her family moved to May where she would spend most of her life. She graduated from May High School. Dorothy married the love of her life, Billy Driskill on March 13, 1948 in May, and they shared 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 1983. She worked at the Comanche Sewing Factory for many years until she retired. Dorothy was also an active member of the May Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed to travel, cook, and read, but most of all Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed to visit and eat at the May Senior Citizens Center.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Patricia Driskill Musick and husband Rodney, Jo Driskill Ashworth and husband Larry, Christy Driskill Burkes, Billy Driskill Jr. and wife Jeanette, Robert Driskill and wife Kerry, James Driskill and wife Angela, and Kelly Driskill and wife Lisa; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Driskill Chambers; granddaughter, Haley Grace Driskill; husband, Billy Driskill Sr.; parents, Oscar and Mary Killion; and sister, Alta Lee Corneilus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the May Senior Citizens Center (254 259-2340) or the May Cemetery Association.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
