Zephyr girls win district track title, boys finish second, 24 headed to area

The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs recently won the District 25-A track and field championship while the Bulldogs placed second. Between the two, Zephyr is sending 24 student-athletes to the 25-A/26-A area meet it will host on Thurday, April 10.

Area qualifiers are as follows:

BOYS AREA QUALIFIERS – District Runner-up

Reese Hamm – 400, 800, 1600 Relay, Triple Jump

Jetson Gowin – 400, 800 Relay, 1600 Relay

Aaron Fagan – 800, 1600, 3200

Spencer Marwitz – 800, 1600, 3200

Eli Williams – 1600, 3200, 1600 Relay

Cash Whisenhunt – 110H

Wyatt Stevens – 300H, 800 Relay, 1600 Relay

Johnny Paul Evans-Rollins – 800 Relay, 1600 Relay (Alt)

Shayden Prickett – 800 Relay

Trace Anderson – High Jump

Chayden Woodcock – Pole Vault

Hunter Davidson – Shot Put

CJ Byers – 800 Relay (Alt)

GIRLS AREA QUALIFIERS – District Champions

Kirstan King – 100, 200, 400 Relay, Long Jump, Triple Jump

Hadley Phillips – 800, 1600, 3200

Kathryn Williams – 800, 1600 Relay, High Jump

Rebecca Evetts – 1600, 3200
