Wyvetta Casey

Wyvetta Casey, age 80, of Grosvenor, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Funeral services for Wyvetta will be held at 11AM on Thursday, October 31, at Heartland Funeral Home. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.

Wyvetta was born on March 12, 1944 in Brown County to Roy and Cornelia Smiley. She was raised in Grosvenor and attended school in Bangs.

Wyvetta has a beautiful voice which she shared with others by singing at church. She was a talented writer and loved writing stories and poetry. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Larry. Her favorite location was any beach. Wyvetta also enjoyed gardening, especially beautiful flowers. She was a devoted grandmother and was always there to help with her grandchildren when needed.

Wyvetta is survived by her loving husband, Larry; daughters, Rita Grimes and husband Rocky of Spicewood, Debbie Schaffer and husband Randy of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Misty Shaw and husband Kenneth, Michael Galvan and wife Becky; great-grandchildren, Casey and Harper Shaw, and Eli, Angel, Katalina and Taliah Galvan; and devoted friend and companion, Jason Lewis

Wyvetta was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Smiley.
