Alton Carl Drueckhammer, 93 of Priddy, Texas passed away October 19, 2024. He was born September 20, 1931 to Gerhard Drueckhammer and Joanna Grabarschick Drueckhammer at Eden, Texas.

He and his family moved to Newberg, Texas in Comanche County when he was very young. He attended grade school at Newberg, then moved to Priddy when he was in the seventh grade. He graduated Priddy High School in 1948 at the age of sixteen. He then started farming in Mills County, Texas. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher.

He married Cherline Goerdel at the Zion Lutheran Church on July 18, 1952.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and other committees for many years. He also served on the Priddy school board, Mills County ASCS farm service agency, and county tax boards.

He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, baptized on November 1, 1931 at Eden, Texas then confirmed April14, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Cherline, his children Dr. David Drueckhammer and wife Kari, Donna Parrish and husband Rodney, and Dr. Dale Drueckhammer and wife Roxanne. He is survived by his grandchildren Randy Parrish and wife Deborah, Heather Jarvis and husband Jacob, Sara Drueckhammer, Dustin Drueckhammer and wife Emmy, James Drueckhammer, Brandon and Brittney Brockner, and Rebecca Holloway. His great grandchildren Elliot Drueckhammer, Jaci, Kayleigh, Julia, and Joe Riley Jarvis, Isabella Cook, and Haylee Purcell.

Visitation will be October 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held October 23, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy, Texas at 10:30 AM. Internment will be held at St. John Cemetery in Priddy, Texas.
