Ellie Shea (11) recorded team bests of six kills, four aces, eight digs and one block for Early (10-10), which returns to action Sept. 10 at Brady.

EARLY – The Early Lady Horns evened their season record at 10-10 with a straight-set home victory over Coleman Tuesday night in a rematch from the Heart of Texas tournament back in August.

The offensive attack was spearheaded by Ellie Shea with six kills trailed by Aubrie DeVillier with five, Piper Pedersen with four, Jensyn Rasor and Grey Pruett with three each, and Karley Smith with two.

Pruett distributed 11 assists, Cassidy Frerichs chipped in five and Pedersen was credited with one.

Shea and Pruett also finished with four aces apiece trailed by Smith with three and DeVillier and Tyley Simmons each with one.

Defensively, Shea logged eight digs followed by six from DeVillier, five each from Frerichs and Gabby Benson, four from Pruett, and one apiece from Rasor, Simmons and Smith.

At the net, Rasor, Petersen, and Shea each tallied a block.

The Lady Horns will next see action Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Brady – another victim of Early’s during the Heart of Texas tournament.
