Brownwood 7-on-7 state qualifier moved to Early, Bangs

Raven Prado and the varsity Lions will play games at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon at Early, while the second Brownwood team will take the field at 9:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., also at Longhorn Stadium.

Due to Thursday night’s thunderstorms which featured in excess of 2 inches of rain in the last 12 hours in some areas locally, Saturday’s Brownwood 7-on-7 Division II state qualifier has been moved from Brownwood High School.

Pool A and C games, and the semifinal between the two pool winners, will be played at Longhorn Stadium in Early, while Pool B and D games, and their semifinal matchup, is set to take place at Memorial Stadium in Bangs.

The Brownwood Lions will compete in Pool A with games against Whitney at 9 a.m., San Angelo Lake View at 10:30 a.m. and Andrews at noon. A second Brownwood team will compete in Pool C with games against Graham at 9:45 a.m., Benbrook at 11:15 a.m. and Clyde at 12:45 p.m. The semifinal winners will square off at 1:45 p.m.

The Bangs side of the bracket includes Ponder, Mineral Wells, Grapevine Faith and Midland Christian in Pool B, while Pool D features Decatur, Comanche, Jim Ned and McGregor.
