Due to Thursday’s night thunderstorms which featured in excess of 2 inches of rain in the last 12 hours in some areas locally, Saturday’s 9th Annual Kiwanis Club Of Brownwood Kid Fish Event scheduled for the Early Town Center has been rescheduled for June 8.

Now scheduled for Saturday, June 8 from 8 to 11 a.m., this is an amazing event that gives children the chance to start a life long love for fishing and being outdoors. This event is open to youth 4-year-olds thru 16. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 weigh-ins in 4 age ranges.

There is no fee to register. The FIRST 150 register will receive free rod and reel and bait. These 150 will also receive a hot dog and chips. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be there with educational activities for the children to participate in.
