Jackie Doering, 92, of Brownwood, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023.  Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Park.

Jackie was born March 3, 1931 in Ackerly, Texas to parents Ruth (Conder) Brown and Jim Brown.  She was raised in Ackerly and attended schools there.  She married Herbert Doering in 1951 in Lamesa, Texas.  Jackie was an LVN and worked for various doctors and nursing homes in Big Spring. She was baptized in the First Christian Church of Big Spring and she still had remained a member of the First Christian Church until her passing.  She also attended the First Christian Churches of Hobbs, New Mexico as well as in Brownwood, Texas. She loved to read, talk on the phone and watch her grandchildren play sports. She was also an animal lover.  She was a member of Beta Se Phi, Red Hats Club and the Bridge Club.

Jackie is survived by her daughter Beverly Peterson and husband Joe and Tim Doering and wife Emilene; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Mamie Ferguson, JB Brown, Dorothy Newman, Evelyn Graham, Audrey Brown, Garland Brown, and Leldon (Jim) Brown.
